A couple of years ago I took a workshop call Art of the Soul - I was interested in reigniting my creativity and good friend of mine was facilitating it so I paid up and attended 12 weeks that changed my life.
In the summer of 1979 my mother gave me my fist 35mm camera. It was a Minolta and I carried that thing with me everywhere. My favorite places to shoot was concerts. So I now have a great collection of vintage photos from Queen, The Who, Bruce Springsteen, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Ozzy Osbourne, and many others. I minored in photographer in college although college was short lived my live for photos was not.
I got busy with life - starting a training and consulting business - and while I still carried a camera with me most places my passion for photography took a back seat to my "real life."
Then the invention of point and shoots and eventually the digital age... the evolution of a business I don't think has ever been so profound at what has happen and is happening in the profession of photography.
In the Art of the Soul Workshop I rediscovered my passion for photography and figured out that I had a bit of talent with the camera in my hand. I love macro photography - getting in really close and capturing things you normal don't see. I coined it "second look photo art" as you have to take a second look to know what it is. I play around with this for a couple of years and then in April of this year, as life has it I was blessed with the opportunity to go fill time into photography as a professional.
Most professional photographers have a blog of their photos and so I am going to use this forum to post some of my favorites and keep you posted on where I am with the bus... you can also check out my website at http://www.fireheartphotography.com/
